Connecting your Airbnb account

In the backend, our API connection with Airbnb is constantly renewing. Unfortunately, it has a tendency to time out. When this occurs, you will receive an email notification to your account, as well as an alert banner will be displayed on top of the dashboard.

To reconnect, please follow the following steps

  1. Sign in to KeyNinja platform and go to your Connected accounts page
  2. If your account is disconnected, select the link icon located under the action column and give it a few seconds to reconnect.
  3. Once done, more icons will appear, refresh icon in the middle will start spinning (to show it's connecting)
  4. After it is reconnected, you can click on the pencil icon to manage your properties. Bookings will also start syncing in (refreshes every 1 hour)
  5. Please refresh the page as well if the loading time takes longer than 2 - 3 minutes.


Merge and import your Airbnb listings

Here's what you need to know about merging and importing your Airbnb listings. To merge or import your Airbnb listings onto our platform, go to your edit listing page by clicking the pencil symbol under the action column.

Select the property you want to merge or import, then click the manage option.

What's the difference between merge or import?

  • Merging allows you to combine an existing property with an Airbnb listing without affecting the setup you've already set up.

  • Import as new listings will establish a new listing/property in our system for your Airbnb listing.



To merge a property with an existing property with a listing from Airbnb:

  1. Select an existing listing from the selected Airbnb listings container

  2. Select the property you want to merge with from the Existing properties container
  3. Click on the merge button
  4. Please select the name that you would like to keep and the address you would like to keep
  5. Click on the confirm button and you will see the property you have merged located in the Imported properties container


To import a new property from your Airbnb account:

  1. Select an existing listing from the selected Airbnb listings container 

  2. Click on the import as new button
  3. Click confirm


How can I tell if my property is linked?

The connected label can be found beneath the status column in your edit listings page, the airbnb column in your property page, and on top of your property listing photo in your edit property page, making it simple to determine whether the merged/imported properties are connected.

Configuring your imported property

  1. Select My Properties on the menu bar

  2. To configure your property, click on the edit button under the settings column.
  3. Toggle the services on/off or adjust the details to further customize the services.
  4. Remember to Save your changes once you're done

Note: Toggling the services will automatically pull relevant bookings linked to your imported properties. For example, turning on key exchange services will only create key exchange jobs under your bookings
